New Book Release! The Devil’s Deception of the Modern-Day Salafiyyah Sect, by Imam Luqman Ahmad

salafi book cover amazonThe modern-day Salafiyyah, or Salafiyyism, or the Da’wah Salafiyyah has done much to highlight the Sunna of the prophet (SAWS), and its importance. However, in the process of spreading the new ideology of, “The modern-day Salafiyyah, many of its proponents have perhaps unintentionally made casualties out of the very persons for whom the so-called “da’wah Salafiyyah” was intended. Get it today at the link below or go to imamluqman.com.

Excerpts: “For many practicing Muslims, Salafiyyah is a bitter dose of questionable medicine. No one committed to this religion rejects the Salaf as-Saalih or the principles on which they agreed. However, the Salafis and their modern-day da’wah do not suit the tastes of all the righteous. Too much of their methodology revolves around character assassination, claims of monopoly on Allah’s guidance, a fanatical obsession with uncovering the faults of the Muslim”.

Another Excerpt: [Salafiyyism as presented by its modern-day adherents is not a simple methodology; it is a myriad of ideals, slogans and tendencies which burdens the average Muslim with understanding complex issues of theology, jurisprudence, exegesis, hadith methodology, language etc. It effectively abrogates the simplicity of tawheed and gradual assimilation of the Quran and Sunna, and replaces it with unreasonable demands of immediate perfection] -Imam Luqman Ahmad.

  1. I’ve been looking for something like this, NOT that I would like to demonize any of our brothers and sisters in Islam but so many ideas behind a certain methodology of salafi’s discourages a believer from dhikr for example and leaves the believers hopeless in Allah’s mercy. I just purchased your book on Kindle 🙂 looking forward to reading your thoughts.

  2. The real issue with the so-called Salafis (Wahhabis) is their blasphemous corporeal belief that Allah is a giant object with organs and limbs and a smiling face.

      1. Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. It seems apparent by your comment, that you have not fully read the book. There is a difference in calling to Islam, which is what the Prophet (SAWS) called to, and calling to an invented slogan (salafiyyah) that we find none of our scholars from the past ever calling people to. Being a Muslim and following the methodology of the salaf is one thing. Calling yourself a salafi and then judging the people by your newly invented title is something completely different. The reputable scholars of Islam; Ibn Kathir, Imam Shaafi’ee, Ibn Rajab, Imam an-Nawawi, Jalaaluddin as-Suyuti, Sufyaan ath-Thawri, Abdullah ibn al-Mubaarik, as-Shawkaani, and others, did not go around calling themselves salafi, and saying that they are saved. There are eight doors of paradise; none of them are having reported to have the name salafiyyah on it. There were over 100,000 companions of the Prophet (SAWS) according to Ibn Hajar al-Asqalaani, Ibn Abdul-Birr and others, and they differed on many points. In fact, the sahaba differed upon hundreds of issues. Any Muslim would be hard pressed to follow all of them in every matter. At the end of the day, it is Islam that we call to, and it is Muslims that we call ourselves, and any new terminology that people want to come up with, and call it the only truth, or the absolute truth, or the only path, then they are free to do so. If you are secure in proclaiming yourself a salafi, and calling to salafiyyah, then al-humdu lillah, be secure in that, and let your heart rest upon it. However, let us be reminded about the questions we will face in the grave; who is your Lord? What is your religion? And who is that man (The Prophet (SAWS)), and there is no mention of salafiyyah in any of that. The truth of the matter is this: “Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, “I am among the Muslims” [41:33] Wal Allahul Musta’aan.

  5. Abdmalik As Salafee Avatar
    Abdmalik As Salafee

As Salaamu Alaikum When innovation emerged within Islaam, and the misguided sects became numerous, and every person calling to his innovation or desire was taken from – along with his apparent ascription to Islaam – it became inevitable that the people of the truth come to be known by names which would distinguish them from the people of partisanship, innovation and deviation in the Religion,So when all of that occurred, they took on Sharee ‘ah names derived from Islaam. So it became clear that from amongst thier names are; Ahuls-Sunnah wal- Jamaa ‘ah Ahlul-Hadeeth, Ahlul-Athar, Ahlul-Ghurbah,( the people of strangeness) , as-Salafiyyoon, Firqatun-Naajiyah ( the saved sect) and at-Taa’ifatul- Mansoorah( the Victorious Group),

I say: From this it has become confirmed that the term Ahlul-Athar is used to refer to Ahlus-Sunnah and that is the intended meaning in its usage, not to mention in the books of i’tiqaad(creed) from the Salaf. I say one who affiliates himself with Ahlul-Athar is called Atharee in connection to the athar, or Salafee in connection to the Salafus-Saalih.

And adh- Dhahabee RH said in As Siyar (13/380), “So that which the Haafidh is in need of is to be fearful of Allaah, intelligent….. Salafee.”

And abh-Dhahabee-RH -said in As-Siyar (16/457) about ad-Daaraqutnee-RH The man would never enter into ‘ilmul-kalaam, nor argumentation. He would never delve deeply into that. Rather, he was Salafee.”

Taken from the book Clarification That The Ahlul- Hadeeth are the saved sect and victorious Group. Pg.19,20 and 29 Shaykh Fawzee Ibn ‘Abdullah al-Atharee A must read for those who want lite on this issue.

    1. Alaikum salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh, If I thought for one moment that to call one’s self a Salafi would increase the thawaab of one’s deeds, or that if when I am asked by Munkar and Nakir on the Day of Judgment, what is your religion, that saying my religion is salafiyyah, would be a sufficient answer, then I would recommend that we all call each other by that. On the contrary beloved, deeds are reckoned by the intention, and success is in obeying Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, and verily the most honored of people to Allah is he who has the most taqwa, and no man, scholar, or Imam, can change that. Calling yourself a Salafi does nothing in the way of sanctifying your actions, or making them more acceptable to Allah be He Exalted and Glorified. That is just a fantasy, existing in the minds of the unknowing, woven with the fabric of supposition. Wal Allahul Musta’aan.
